Your new and improved Vinaigrette

Who gets bored with the same salad dressing Definitely me and many of you who enjoy eating salads Day after day we choose the same Cesar Blue Cheese Lemon vinaigrette Raspberry vinaigrette dressings Yet are those dressing the best for you Be prepared even if your dressing of choice is fat-free sugar-free or whatever-free there are a lot or chemicals in dressings that do more harm than good Preservatives are one of them Aspartame is another and you can add evaporated cane juice to the list Lemon juice and extra-virgin olive oil are very good choices Take those further and make an infusion prick some garlic cloves to make small holes and add them to extra-virgin olive oil or add rosemary thyme or basil to flavorfully infuse the oil Ok you have heard these tips before Yet let me reveal one that I betcha you have not heard before A fruit vinaigrette My discovery happened by accident I love simple fresh squeezed lemon juice with olive oil as dressing but yesterday I ran out of lemon Two days ago I went shopping at the farmers market and bought the very last in-season blackberries As you know blackberries can taste a little sour even if they are in-season and then I had the idea I mashed the blackberries until they were completely liquefied added some extra virgin olive oil a pinch of sea salt and mixed them all together Oh my gosh it tasted so good Have you ever had some food that upon tasting it you thought you pee in your pans Well I have and tasting this dressing was one of those experiences Besides having a fresh homemade blackberry dressing free of preservatives packed with vitamins minerals enzymes and free of pasteurization this dressing gives your palette a completely unique heavenly experience while enjoying your salad Do you have any ideas for fun twists or additions to dressing that follow a non-pasteurized formula I would love to find out about them Best Stefan
