The Magic of Logging Your Steps

I joined in a local 10,000 steps per day walking program, Get Going Oregon, for the month of August.  It has done wonders for keeping me consistent with exercise each day rather than being a weekend warrior.  While my long half marathon training walks on the weekend boost my average daily steps, I still  have far fewer days where I arrive home from my desk job without going out for a fitness walk.  I can’t face my pedometer moment of truth if I end the day with under 7000 steps.
