Motivation
In my online community I always read the profiles from the individuals who sign up Most of the requests that I see people writing in the Looking for section is motivation Even when I am being interviewed by the media the first question that comes up is What do you do to motivate clients And my usual response is Nothing Why Because if you dont want to move you are not going to move Rather I can provide you information about solutions that you can try out — new trainings approaches to prevent boredom and tools that keep you moving and active If you dont do any of it if you dont read the newsletters and if you dont read a new book that helps you to stay motivated or educates you how should I be able to do this Motivation needs to come from the person within If you dont have a set goal a visual image attached to it and a feeling associated WITH IT THEN it is not going to work Hence if you were not successful in the past to stay motivated to stay active ask yourself why did you stop And also ask yourself to answer why do you want to stay active Map out your goal Give yourself a visual image and break it down into simple steps per month per week per day to follow your own motivational structure that works for you If you want to read a great motivational tool about how to accomplish achievements that athletes have used pick up the book Peak Performance Mental Training Techniques of the Worlds Greatest Athletes by Charles A Garfield Ph D Kind regards Stefan
