GoWear FIT Fitness Monitor Review
GoWear FIT is total fitness monitoring system for calorie burn, exercise intensity, calorie tracking, and sleep efficiency. It uses the same technology as is used with Bodybugg — an armband monitor that tracks not only motion, but also skin temperature and heat flux to get a more accurate picture of your activity. The difference is in how that data is processed and the features of the interactive web site you upload your data to.
I’ve used a few different uploading pedometer/accelerometer fitness systems. I like the GoWear web site, especially the ease of use of its food diary/calorie tracking. It was also interesting to have sleep efficiency monitored. For those who do a variety of exercise activities and want to track their exercise intensity, this is a useful system. But the drawback is that you must wear the armband monitor most of the day and night to get the full benefit.
